At the peak of my nicotine addiction, you might often find me smoking a cigarette and lighting up a second one before the first had even been extinguished. Over the course of 30 years, I tried many methods to quit smoking. The patch, acupuncture, hypnotism, nicotine gum, pills like Chantix, (gave me terrible nightmares) and of course cold turkey. None of which worked for any length of time.

Fast forward to April of 2010, after 30+ years of smoking the damage from cigarettes is beginning to manifest itself in my health. I developed breathing problems, a chronic cough, halitosis and was frequently sick with bronchitis. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed as pre-COPD and was instructed to quit smoking or die trying.

Fortune smiled upon me and I was introduced to vaping by my dear friend and founder of The Vaporium, Kim Thompson. She introduced me to my first e-cigarette, a 78 mm kit called Green Smoke. I purchased my first Kit and threw away my package of tobacco cigarettes. I took to vaping like a fish takes to water. I threw away my tobacco cigarettes within days of acquiring my first e-cigarette vaporizer. Within weeks of my starting to vape, by chronic cough had practically disappeared and my pre-COPD condition had dissipated. Over the course of next 6 months I had weaned myself from a high nicotine solution level from 24mg strength solution to 6 mg strength solution and by my 51st birthday I was completely nicotine free! I have been 4 years nicotine free now and I recommend these products to anyone who is struggling to quit cigarettes!

I am proof that vaping saves lives!

I am a lifelong resident of the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State. I am a 54 year old grandmother who smoked for 36 years, and I would definitely be smoking to this day if I had not discovered vaping with a generation 2 device and fruit flavored e liquid. I vape, I vote, I consume, and I care. Vaping has not earned the sin taxes tobacco cigarettes deserve, and in the absence of the FDA’s final ruling on the matter, states should wait for guidance, rather than rushing to tax the unknown. Leave the vape shops alone to help smokers switch at no cost to the taxpayer, and let the health departments work on graver issues than the falling sales of nicotine patches. Thanks.

so i would just like to say that before i found Vaping ..I was a Two pack a day smoker ..started smoking cigarettes when i was 14 years old had tried them for the first time when i was only 12 years old ..My Father smoked and most of the people i knew smoked ..so Naturally i thought it was just the cool thing to do ..well i am now 39 years old and im here to tell you its not cool ..I started having breathing problems about 3 or for 4 years ago ..I decided that i needed to see a doctor find out what was going on ..The doctor told me that i had a slight case of COPD ..it was in the early stages and that i need to quit smoking or i was going to slowly but surely be hospitalized for heart disease and or Cancer …well of course that scared me ..so i had him subscribe me medication to help me quit ..in short it didnt work neither did the patches or gum or any thing not even the old Cold Turkey method …Till this one day February 4th 2013 my wife and i are walking through the Mall and saw this sign that said “Quit Smoking…Start Vaping” well of course we stopped and asked what this was and ended up Purchasing two starter kits …we both started Vaping that very same day ..i have not had a combustible Tobacco Cigarette since that day ..just had my physical about a month ago and my Doctor has given me a clean bill of health ..blood pressure is normal and best of all my breathing and lung function is back to 99.9% ..I owe my life to Vaping and have dedicated my life to giving back to this industry and Community as much as i can ..#IAMPROOF
